Strawberry Bread Pudding

Today’s recipe is from Pinterest @racheerachh. Easy, fast, tasty. Easy to make with few ingredients and quick to bake in just 30 minutes. Whole Foods Organic French loaf is $1.29 making this bread pudding affordable and healthy. Fresh Organic strawberries add natural sweetness with 1/2 cup sugar rather than 1 cup. Strawberry Bread Pudding = Springtime Comfort Food! Perfect party pleaser! This recipe is a keeper!!

  • 4 cups cubed (stale) bread (I used a sourdough boule)
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped up
  1. Whisk cream, milk, sugar, butter, eggs.
  2. Arrange bread crumbs and strawberries in a buttered casserole dish.
  3. Pour milk mixture over bread and bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour until puffed and no longer jiggly.
  4. Server warm or room temperature with more fresh strawberries and/or vanilla bean ice cream.

  • Cook time: 45 minutes
  • Total time: 1 hour

    Delicious. I used twice the amount of strawberries, a handful of blueberries and half the sugar. We schnarfed it up. It was really good.
